We were delighted to once again welcome a large number of representatives of apartment building owners. For us, this event is always a valuable opportunity for open dialogue, strengthening relationships and sharing important developments in the field of apartment building management.
Innovation and Safety First
The opening part of the programme was led by Ing. Kateřina Žabková, whose presentation focused on topics that directly affect residents’ comfort and safety:
Modern pest control and disinfection: An introduction to the latest methods and trends in maintaining cleanliness in common areas, including the important issue of financing rodent control.
The Resitech app in practice: A demonstration of a digital tool that significantly improves communication. Although the app was originally developed for electronic voting (as a supplement to written voting pursuant to Act No. 182/1993 Coll.), it is now receiving excellent feedback in other areas as well. Apartment owners actively use it to communicate with the property manager, report faults and issues, and as a digital noticeboard.
Fire safety: A reminder of legal obligations and preventive measures. Using specific examples from practice and owners’ meetings, Ms Žabková highlighted the work of apartment owners’ representatives and thanked them for helping to educate their neighbours.
Regular maintenance and prevention: The importance of regularly cleaning apartment building façades was emphasised. Preventing biological and other environmental contaminants helps protect façades from cracking and water penetration. Another key topic was planning investments in the replacement of ageing plumbing systems and risers. If these systems have exceeded their service life, an insurance company may reduce or even refuse an insurance payout in the event of damage.
Energy, Maintenance and Green Solutions
The second part of the programme was presented by Ing. Eva Krčová, Managing Director of Bytový podnik Myjava. Her presentation seamlessly connected economic topics with the increasingly important environmental and urban aspects of residential property management:
Subsidies and heating prices: An analysis of current energy price developments and an overview of subsidies that have been and will be available for the supply of heating and hot water.
Stormwater retention measures in urban areas: Considerable attention was devoted to water retention in towns and cities. Ms Krčová explained how stormwater charges are calculated and introduced the BVS grant programme, which supports green and sustainable stormwater retention solutions in the surroundings of apartment buildings.
Constructive Discussion and Thanks
Following the official presentations, there was time for an open discussion. Apartment owners’ representatives had the opportunity to personally discuss specific matters concerning their buildings directly with the management and employees of Bytový podnik Myjava.
As a token of appreciation for their year-round efforts, willingness to help and excellent cooperation, each participant received a small gift.
