The building, which dates back to 1971, will be converted into a modern residential complex with rental apartments, giving it a new use and making it an important part of the town once again.
The project is currently at the stage of applying for a building permit. Once the building permit has been obtained, preparations for implementation will continue, including the construction itself and the necessary infrastructure modifications.
The building will house 40 new rental apartments for those looking for comfortable and affordable housing in Myjava. The new flats will mainly be studios and one-bedroom units, which meet the growing demand for small flats in Myjava. In addition to modern amenities, the flats will have balconies or terraces, which will improve the quality of living and provide residents with a pleasant space to relax.
One of the key aspects of this redevelopment is the integration of technologies that take energy efficiency into account and meet the strict standards applicable to modern buildings. The entire project is designed to use energy-efficient technologies, which will reduce operating costs and increase the sustainability of the building. Planned improvements include high-quality insulation, modern heating systems and efficient lighting and air conditioning solutions that will ensure comfortable living while minimising energy consumption. This will not only ensure comfort for future residents, but will also contribute to protecting the environment and reducing the carbon footprint, which is in line with modern trends in construction and renovation.
The project also focuses on improving the surrounding infrastructure. As part of the reconstruction, old roads and paved areas that do not meet current requirements will be removed. They will be replaced by new access roads, parking areas and pavements, which will ensure the comfortable and safe movement of pedestrians and motor vehicles. In addition, landscaping will be carried out around the building and a children's playground will be created, together with a relaxation area, which will be located on the site of the current gym building, which will be demolished in 2025. These steps will make the location a pleasant place for families, seniors and children, all with regard to environmental protection and the comfort of residents.
After the completion of the conversion of the former dormitory and the creation of new rental apartments, the reconstruction of the former secondary school building will be a logical continuation of this project. Together, both stages will contribute to the revitalisation of the entire area, not only through the construction of new flats, but also through the improvement of public spaces and the creation of a modern, ecological and functional residential complex.
This renovation is an example of how dilapidated buildings can be transformed into functional and modern facilities that serve the needs of the local community.
